Almond Orchard

I was lucky enough to get out to the beautiful almond orchard before the storm hit. This has to be one of the best manicured orchards I have ever seen. My daughter received permission from the owners to use if for a photo shoot with some of her clients and she brought me out to do some landscape photos. Thanks Mary.................great idea!!

San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers

San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers
This place is amazing. I love flowers so this is a great place for me to spend the day. We went to SF yesterday with the rare Saturday off. We started our day with a trip to the Conservatory of Flowers. In the parking lot is the Dahlia Den which has been around and ran by volunteers for over a hundred years. They do an amazing job. I have my images off to my editor but I thought I would give you a sneak peek from my trip yesterday.

Butchart Gardens & Butterfly World, Victoria B.C. - July 2013

While on our Alaskan cruise, our last port was Victoria, B.C. we chose to go to the Butchart Gardens and Butterfly World for the 3rd time. But this time I went armed with my 70-200 2.8 lens and my daughter's awesome macro lens. What a wonderful time we had, it is amazing at both of these places. For sure a great place to go if you enjoy gardens. The only bad part was that our port day is rather short and we had to kind of hurry through the garden and butterfly world. But I was happy to get some great shots while there.
