Boo..................

Boo!
Well this is the best I can do for Halloween pictures. I don't have to much in the creepy department but I think some of these images might qualify. Went to the pumpkin patch for the first shot, the second shot is from when I went to Bodie, 3rd shot is from the farmers market in New England, 4th shot is of a creepy spider and a really cool web and the last shot is from when I visited Preston Castle in Ione, which is said to be haunted. Happy Halloween!!

Autumn in the Sierras

Autumn in the Sierras
I think if I had to pick my favorite season it would have to be fall. Although if you ask me right as spring was ready to come I might say it was spring. I love the changing of the seasons. Living in Northern California our seasons can kind of run right into one another. We have such mild temperatures that sometimes we can be hot in spring or in the fall. But I do love the colors that fall brings to the trees and the vineyards. Here are a few pictures from last week.

Sandhill Cranes

Sandhill Cranes
I made a visit the other evening to see if the Sandhill Cranes had arrived yet. Well when we first arrived there were none but by the time we left there were hundreds of them. They started off with just a few them several came in for a landing then some more and more................ They are fun to watch and they can get quite loud too. They come every year from Alaska,

I will take whats behind door number...................

Doors
I love doors!! I was not disappointed with the beauty of my vacation to the east coast. The churches in and around New England are amazing as were the doors.I guess coming from California we don't know OLD. The buildings date back into the 1600's. I fell in love with all the brick in Boston. I would love to go back and have more time to explore New England.

New England

New England
I just got home from a cruise out of Boston. Here are a few images from my trip. I have more images off to my editor and am waiting anxiously for them to show up in my inbox because she does such an awesome job on my images. We left Boston and headed to Portland, Maine, then to Bar Harbor, Maine, then we went to St John, New Brunswick where I fell in love with the doors on this church, then we headed to Halifax, Nova Scotia where I snapped the boat picture in a fishing village. All in all a great first trip to the East Coast for me. Stay tuned for more of my trip................................yeah I know UGH vacation photos!!

Old Sturbridge, Mass

Old Sturbridge
After returning from a week long cruise through New England we returned to Boston for an overnighter before heading back to Califorina. Well it rained pretty much the whole time we were there. We had a passenger on our cruise ship that told me I should visit Old Sturbridge. Here are the shots from that rainy day. I am kind of glad I met her and took her advice. It was beautiful. This is the Dummerston Covered Bridge.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Bar Harbor. Maine
This was a beautiful town. We were scheduled to have a private tour to Acadia National Park this day but our government had other plans with shutting down the national parks. So our tour guide made sure she showed us some of the beauty in Bar Harbor and she did just that. The fall colors were almost at peak in some places and it was beautiful. I would love to return to Maine one day and be able to spend more than just a day to wander around.
