Fall

I love Fall and all that it brings. Changing leaves, falling leaves, cooler days, crush time in the nearby vineyards, afghans and my kitty on my lap. Strange how that when it is time for the seasons to change that I too am ready for that change. Here are a few of my favorite fall images.

Well............ or at least he was the King of the San Diego Wild Animal Park. I love animal photography but am not fortunate enough to travel to all the locations where you find lions and tigers and bears (oh my)So I will have to travel to zoos and hope to capture them in the most unnatural settings and try to make them look like they are in a natural setting. So here are a few of my favorite kitty pictures from that day.

I am not sure what it is about pelicans but they are one of my favorites. They are just some of the coolest looking birds around. The first picture for some reason reminds me of the Laurel and Hardy of the pelican world for some reason. They are just fun to watch. I am yet to capture one of them dive bombing for food. So until then these shots will have to do.

Now that I am a resident of Lodi, Ca. I thought that going to the Lodi Grape Festival was the right thing to do on a beautiful summer night. So I dragged the camera and tri pod along for some fun night photography. I must say I was pleased with the outcome. I also checked out the photography exhibit and was pleased to have landed a honorable mention ribbon on one of my entries.

This was one of many trips to San Francisco that my camera and I have taken. I never tire of finding things to shoot when I go. I love the Golden Gate Bridge and the challenges of finding different angles of the bridge, we also stopped at Fort Point which is a very cool place to explore. 

Yosemite

While staying for a few days at Bass Lake we took a day trip in to Yosemite. I don't visit the southern part of the park as often as I go to the valley floor. This was a great day to see some beautiful snowy scenes with not many people. It is great going to the park during non peak times.

Well I have such a large inventory of my 5x7 photo note cards that I have put them on sale, they are printed on the highest quality metallic paper and attached to a high grade card stock and come with envelope. Shooting stuff with my Canon :)

Went for a drive looking for something to shoot with my Canon.  We are living in the heartland of a huge wine industry and the grapes are abundant right now. Also I knew by the clouds out today that there was a chance of a great sunset. So we drove around looking for a good spot. This is what I came up with.
